Ben Blezard is the founder and managing director of P1CarbonSolutions. Having spent nearly 8 years working in the niche supercar market with McLaren Automotive, focusing specifically on carbon fibre composites strategy and supply chain, he has a wealth of knowledge of innovative technologies, and links with a global supply network. He was directly responsible for souring composites, and securing contracts on the McLaren P1, 675LT, 720s, 600LT, Senna, and Speedtail. During his time at McLaren Automotive, he developed strategic business cases related to specific sourcing, technology and investment decisions on all composite products. In addition, he established brand and technology partnerships with leading strategic suppliers generating revenue and IPR.

With carbon fibre production forecast to reach 100,000 tonnes per year in 2020 in the automotive industry alone, and a global market size estimated to surpass $31 billion by 2024, it is crucial to ensure that this technology plays its part in the conservation of our planet with a focus on increasing its efficiency through recycling innovations.
